A previous Davos trip is a useful memory, but its road map is not a current operating instruction. Before reusing a Zurich–Davos WEF itinerary, separate the stable booking details from the temporary arrangements that need fresh checking.

Check the year before the route

The cantonal WEF website publishes edition-specific information, including traffic orders and maps. An archived PDF can look authoritative while describing a past event. Record the year, publication context and source of every operational document you keep. If the next edition’s instructions are not available yet, label the access plan pending. Do not silently convert last year’s permitted approach into a promise about the next journey.

Retain the facts that remain useful

Keep the passenger’s preferred contact method, the correct hotel name and any established assistance requirements as starting points. Reconfirm them before travel because people, accommodation and equipment can change. Remove old driver details, meeting-point photographs and temporary entrance notes from the travelling brief unless they are verified again. This produces a short working document that contains current facts rather than a confusing archive of successful past arrangements. Check any saved map pin against the current destination as well. A pin can preserve an obsolete temporary collection point even after the surrounding written instructions have been updated.

Request a fresh operational review

Give the transport team the Zurich origin, Davos address, travel date and required arrival window. Mention that the journey takes place during WEF-related activity and ask which details still await official publication or venue confirmation. The service is independent and cannot promise security-zone access. A route estimate should remain an estimate, with room for the conditions applying on the day rather than a reproduction of last year’s elapsed time.

Replace the travelling copy once

When updated arrangements are agreed, issue one clearly dated version to the traveller and retain the old one only as an archive. Obtain written transfer confirmation; an earlier year’s reservation has no booking effect. If planning an hourly assignment, the minimum is eight hours and the actual itinerary needs a quotation. Before leaving Zurich, review the current official notices again and confirm the receiving contact still expects the guest at the agreed location.

Questions about this journey

Can I reuse last year’s pickup photograph?

Only after the current meeting point and approach have been checked.

What if the next WEF traffic map is not published?

Keep the access details provisional and arrange a further review when official guidance is available.

Does a previous booking reserve the same driver again?

No. Request the new journey and wait for written confirmation of the agreed service.
