A promising invitation can be the reason for a Zurich–Davos business trip, but the invitation and the car reservation need separate checks. Establish exactly what you have been invited to before building an expensive day around it.
Identify the event behind the name
Ask the sender for the organising organisation, the event title, the named host and confirmation that your place is accepted. A reference to Davos or WEF in an invitation does not by itself establish that the gathering belongs to the official Annual Meeting. The Forum describes its own meeting and programme on its website. Use the organiser’s direct confirmation for a separate business gathering, including any guest-list or identification requirements. If someone forwards an invitation informally, ask whether the organiser has accepted the additional guest; forwarding a message is not the same as adding a person to the receiving list.
Make one appointment travel-ready
Obtain the venue address and the actual time you need to be present, then check whether the invitation covers a seated session, reception or informal drop-in. Those formats create different arrival commitments. Give the Zurich pickup address and the Davos destination to the transport team only after you understand the appointment. Keep the invitation with you, while sharing just the practical arrival details needed to organise the car.
Price the journey you are committing to
For a direct Zurich city or Zurich Airport to Davos journey, the one-way prices per vehicle are Economy CHF 420, Business Van CHF 550, Business Class E-Class CHF 550 and First Class S-Class CHF 780. Ask for a separate quotation if the event plan includes other destinations, extra stops or waiting. A return leg needs its own agreed time and address; a provisional invitation does not reserve a car.
Keep access and transport decisions separate
Zurich-to-davos.ch is an independent transport service. Booking a vehicle supplies neither WEF participation nor accreditation, and cannot guarantee entry to a restricted venue or security zone. Ask the host how guests should arrive under the arrangements applying to that edition. Review the written transfer confirmation alongside the accepted invitation before travelling. If either is missing, resolve that specific gap rather than treating a payment, email discussion or calendar entry as complete confirmation.
Questions about this journey
Can the transfer service confirm my place at a side event?
No. Confirm participation directly with the event organiser; the transport team handles the journey.
Does a Davos-branded invitation prove WEF affiliation?
No. Check the named organiser and the invitation’s actual scope.
Is the car booked when I send the invitation?
No. The transfer is confirmed only when written confirmation is issued.
